vacant planet very unique take on screamo with a blend of black metal chaos, post-metal dynamics, and ugly angular dissonance. Glassing is probably the closest reference point, but I think this album has gone much further out to explore new territory. highly recommended

Darknight Parts of Juniper Pyre has different influences by bands like Glassing, Full Of Hell, Baring Teeth and Dischordia and this creates the sense that Hylda are really onto something very cool indeed. Favorite track: Gemini.

M The emo-violent chaos of Neil Perry, mixed with the dirginess of Thou, with black metal vox, mixed by Orchid mastermind Will Killingsworth. This is fucking splendid! Favorite track: Light Leak.

Ultime album de Serpent Column, Kathodos est une perle rare de black metal. Ce qui saute aux yeux, c'est le soin apporté à la dimension technique : Theophonos créé un ensemble d'une cohésion parfaite et utilise des jeux d'échos avec des riffs dévastateurs qui vont et reviennent de manière différente ("Kathodos"/"Anodos", première et septième pistes, etc.). Cet album est en somme un moyen de nous enfermer dans un palais des glaces sur lequel Theophonos tire à coups de boulets de canons. Insane ! Jordan Vauvert
